The curtains have closed on the performances at the RTÉ All Ireland Drama Festival. The nine participating groups entertained audiences across the country before bringing their best performances to Athlone for the culmination of the 2022 ADCI Full Length Festival Circuit. Each of the groups and their communities can be very proud of their achievements.

Now we wait with bated breath for the final verdict of adjudicator, Michael Poynor, who will announce the results at the Gala Awards night tonight in Athlone.

For those not in attendance, the results will be live-streamed - youtu.be/BdHzF2-fxrs

As we prepare for our Closing Night, we take a look back at our Opening Night last Sunday. There was great excitement at the return of the Festival after an enforced gap.

Founding Member of South Wicklow Drama Festival and Kilrush Drama Group, Mick Byrne, officially opened the 2022 Festival.
We welcomed our adjudicator, Ciarán McCauley, for his first trip to Carnew.

And what a wonderful week we have had since!

Looking forward to seeing you later for our Final Night and Awards Presentation. Reminder, the performance commences at 7.30pm tonight. The Awards Presentation will be live streamed at about 10pm.
